Hi, my name is Franziska Hörmann, working under the name FranciscArt.
My artistic practice explores reconnection with inner essence and the hidden or quieter aspects of the self — those parts that may feel forgotten, buried, or gently waiting to be remembered.
Through abstract forms and layered surfaces, my works act as subtle reminders rather than statements, inviting a quiet, personal dialogue. The process is intuitive and reflective, mirroring emotional and energetic inner landscapes.
I work with mixed media on canvas and paper, combining pigments, acrylics and chalk with unconventional materials such as spices and metals. These materials carry their own texture, resonance and memory, becoming an integral part of the work.
I completed a three-year, practice-based professional training in Art and Communication (Diploma of Advanced Studies) in Germany, integrating artistic process with reflective and art-therapeutic methodologies.
After recently relocating, I am finding my footing within the UK art community and developing my practice in dialogue with place.
