We are always seeking exhibition spaces for our network of Devon creatives be they big, small, regional, pop up, fine art, community or craft fair … and also online. Take a look at our recent history.
In celebration of its twentieth anniversary, Devon Artist Network presented a special online exhibition showcasing artwork by members in response to the theme New Beginnings.
The Devon Artist Network grew out of the first Open Studios event, held as a pilot project in 1999. Initially known as The Nine Days of Art, the event took place every two years and was divided into North and South Devon. The Network itself was founded in 2004 with the ambition of connecting artists and promoting the visual arts across the region.
The exhibition, New Beginnings, celebrated the Network’s history while looking to the future.
Never still and always adapting, artists proved themselves to be true alchemists – transforming, drawing, moulding, reinventing, revitalising, renewing and refreshing the way we see and experience the world.
The works in the exhibition reflected the creative process as an ongoing act of exploration; a constant work in progress.
Visitors were invited to discover the participating artists using the hashtag #NewBeginnings.
