Newton Abbot drawing, mixed media, painting, printmaking TeignbridgeMy inspiration to paint comes from a personal connection to the Devon landscape and a desire to revisit the memories, places and experiences that have shaped my life. Through my work, I seek to evoke the warmth and familiarity of times shared with family and friends, reflecting on a slower pace of life and the quiet beauty of everyday moments.
I work predominantly in acrylic, often incorporating collage. My approach is intuitive and exploratory, allowing each canvas to develop organically as I discover its shapes, colours and narratives. The work becomes a way of reconnecting with the past, reimagining familiar places and translating personal memories into visual expressions that I hope will resonate with others.
More recently, I have begun exploring printmaking, opening up new possibilities for experimentation and expression. I look forward to developing this aspect of my practice and seeing where this next stage of my artistic journey may lead.
