Artist statement
Ceramicist working from small Teign estuary edge studio.
I hand-build sculptural figurative or decorative pieces, formed intuitively with abstract representation & mostly matte tactile finishes. Influences drawn from metaphor, mythology and early artefacts emerge, as do a cast of quirky characters.
Extended Bio
My work is shown at The Cider Press gallery in Darlington, Gallery 5 in Salcombe, and the Seaglass Gallery in Lympstone.
I also exhibit my work at exhibitions and events (including the Annual Pottery Fair in Shaldon which I organise) as well as occasional open studios.
