Artist statement
My studio is a small converted livestock shed at our home in Folly Gate, where I spend much of my time experimenting with surface texture and decoration. My work is both functional and decorative made using stoneware clays and where possible “wild clay” from our field.
Extended Bio
My interest in clay started many years ago when I was an engineering geologist working with the London Clay. This interest took an unexpected turn when I ‘discovered ceramics’ and realised that it’s far more interesting than engineering!
