I attended Northampton College of Art and in the 1960's moved to Exeter after working in and running various design groups in London. I was appointed Senior Lecturer at Exeter College of Art and continued working with calligraphy, type design and illustration. Author of three books on calligraphy, since retirement I spend my time painting and sculpting.
