My name is Emese Hall and making makes me happy. Having spent 20 years working as a lecturer and researcher in Higher Education I am now enjoying time for my own creativity.

At the heart of my practice is a long time love of wool crafts. I make hand spun yarns, carded art batts, needle felted artworks, knitted and crocheted scarves and cushions. On occasion I weave a little too. Working with wool on a daily basis gives me immense pleasure and I like to share my knowledge and skills through workshops.
As a pledged Green Maker I am committed to minimising my environmental impact by using ethically sourced, natural and sustainable materials. Most of my wool is British and/or preloved, and much of my equipment is second-hand. I carefully select fibres (wool, mohair, alpaca, silk, flax) and have a particular interest in working with fleece from British priority rare breed sheep.
I have a Folksy shop and also sell from my studio at Green Hill Arts in Moretonhampstead, Dartmoor, Devon. Visitors are welcome.
