Vicky Emby Bio

Vicky is a contemporary landscape painter and printmaker based on the Devon coast. Her work begins with walking, sketching and looking, absorbing a place until images form in her mind. She paints and practices printmaking with a similar approach applying marks with bold, sweeping gestures, following the way light, colour and shadow move across land, sea and sky.

Vicky has exhibited at the Royal West Academy Bristol, The Wales Contemporary Waterfront Gallery Milford Haven, The Oxo Gallery London, for the Society of Wildlife Artists at The Mall Gallery London and with The South West Academy in Exeter and Sidmouth.

Vicky has also exhibited locally at Harbour House Kingsbridge, Birdwood house Totnes, Thelma Hulbert Gallery Evolver Prize Honiton, Off the Peg at the Dartington Print Workshop, Honner Press South Brent, Delamore Arts Cornwood, Printmakers Open Lyme Regis, The Sou Sou West Gallery Symonsbury, The Roundhouse Dartington, and the Brixham Art society.
