Simon makes drypoint prints that incorporate intaglio and relief printing and chine collé. He works with a flexible plastic material as his plate - cutting, scoring and engraving the surface - sometimes adding tape and textured paste to build up contrast. His prints are made in a variable edition of only five - which means for each design he makes five variations of colour, each print is unique.
Simon is a printmaker working from Exeter's Double Elephant Print Workshop where he is a Director and runs the DEPW outreach programme - working in schools, healthcare settings and communities across Devon.
