Folly Gate
OKEHAMPTON ceramics West DevonMy interest in clay started many years ago when I was an engineering geologist working with the London Clay. This interest took an unexpected turn when I ‘discovered ceramics’ and realised that it’s far more interesting than engineering!
My studio is now in a small converted livestock shed at our home in Folly Gate, where I spend much of my time experimenting with surface texture and decoration. My work is both functional and decorative made using stoneware clays and where possible "wild clay" from our field.
