Teignmouth painting, sculpture TeignbridgeInspired by nature and abandoned structures, often where water is present, Octavia paints abstract landscapes in acrylics and oils. She assembles sculptures from found materials both natural and manufactured that she finds whilst out walking.
With her use of colour, texture and composition, Octavia orchestrates works that are full of atmosphere and feeling that invite you to look again and again.
She says that she is interested in what is left behind, absence and memory.
Having originally trained as a textile designer and later as a speech and language therapist Octavia recently moved from Peckham, London, to Teignmouth, Devon and continues to work full time as an artist. She regularly participated in the Dulwich Festival Artist Open House until she moved to Devon in 2023. She has work in many private collections.
