Everything started as a hobby with making jewellery from beads and art clay silver using a small kiln, and with the arrival of a large kiln I moved on to fused glass art and being self taught, experimented in making larger pieces.
All jewellery and glass art that includes suncatchers, coasters, decorative dishes, pictures, are handmade by me, with each piece either hand cut or cut with an electric saw, layered and kiln fired to create the desired effect, in some cases, pieces are kiln fired several times. My creations are made using glass specifically designed for art, with some inclusions of dichroic glass, glass powder, confetti glass, stringers (spaghetti like), frit (crushed glass), silver foil, copper foil, wire and oxide, each inclusion gives its very own unique design, and with suncatchers usually a very tactile design.
All hand painted and decal pieces have been fused in the kiln and the designs will not wash off.
Pendants / necklaces have 925 sterling silver bails attached and hang from a cord necklace. Earrings have silver plated bails attached and hang from 925 sterling silver earring wires.
