Totnes painting South HamsMy work is fresh and unpredictable, creating striking and vibrant paintings using mixed media. I transform ‘accidentals’ and realistic representations of wildlife, flowers, still life and landscape into unique and colourful images. This process lends each piece a life of its own. Inspired by regular courses at West Dean College, Sussex. I paint regularly in my studio in Totnes with friends and a group of exciting artists near Guildford and in South Wales.
I have had two very successful exhibitions in Totnes and was artist in residence on three successive years at the Nant Y Coy Gallery in Pembrokeshire where visitors enjoyed my new work at an exhibition there. I exhibited at the Delamore Gallery in Cornwood in Devon and had a solo exhibition at the Flavel centre in Dartmouth. I have had five very successful exhibitions at my home during Devon Open Studios.
