Josephine Grant is a North Devon printmaker living and working on the ruggedly beautiful coast and drawing inspiration from the ever-changing landscape around her.
Since discovering the enchanting world of printmaking Josephine has embraced the medium wholeheartedly, leaving behind her paint brushes in favour of the chisel and gouge. Under the mentorship of local printmaker Merlyn Chesterman, Josephine began exploring her profound fascination with this ancient art, unveiling a new dimension to her artistic expression.
Beyond her individual artistic pursuits, Josephine is a founding member of The Rising Tide Collective, an inspiring assembly of female artists in North Devon. She believes in the power of collaboration and community, working alongside her fellow artists to uplift and empower one another.
Josephine's creations have featured in exhibitions in esteemed venues such as The Burton Gallery in Bideford, Studio KIND in Braunton, as well as self-hosting an exhibition for Devon Open Studios and being included in exhibition for the Appledore Book Festival.
