I came late to developing my artist journey following many years as a scientist working in cancer research, and later as a cancer support specialist. I paint mainly in oil, and sometimes watercolour. I print with linocuts, but have also learnt the techniques of waterless lithography, etching and mono printing. I am inspired by the natural world of landscapes, seascapes and flowers, and these mostly feature in my work. Key to my work is my instinctive use of colour.
