I am a contemporary painter inspired mainly by walking in my local area in East Devon. My paintings are abstract and semi abstract rather than direct representations. I use mark making, line and colour to express the feelings, sensations and memories of being out in the landscape. I use mainly acrylics, sometimes with oils and usually mixed media like inks and charcoal, built up in layers.
