Jane’s varied subject matter includes landscape and seascape. She is a highly sought after animal artist with privately commissioned work in oils and pastels, both at home and internationally, taking up a good deal of her time. Her paintings display great representational accuracy and sensitivity to the character of the individual animal, qualities which make her ideally suited to painting portraits of well-loved domestic animals. Jane has exhibited on a number of occasions with The Society of Women Artists, The Wildlife Art Society, The South West Academy and shortlisted for The Pastel Society. She regularly exhibits in regional exhibitions including Delamore Arts and the Gidleigh Painters which she founded in 2012. She has had works published in ‘The Shooting Times’, ‘The Field’, ‘Sinews of Falconry’ and ‘Artists and Illustrators around the New Forest and Solent’.
Jane holds weekly painting workshops in Gidleigh clothed model workshops throughout the year, one-to-one tuition in drawing, pastel and oil and demonstrations for art groups.
