Jackie Reynolds is a contemporary abstract artist working from her studio near Newton Abbot, Devon. Her creative practice is a natural evolution of her career as a professional florist, where she spent years studying the intricate forms, textures and fleeting beauty of botanical life.
Moving from floral design to the canvas, after having her 3 boys, Jackie now creates expressive, nature inspired pieces that capture the essence of the English countryside and gardens from her childhood. Her work focuses on the emotional impact of colour and movement, aiming to bring calming and restorative energy of the outdoors into interior spaces. Her paintings are known for their soft layered compositions that invite the viewer to pause and find a moment of quiet reflection.
Working primarily in Acrylics, Jackie builds her pieces intuitively. She often integrates inks, oil pastels, and pencil mark making to create fine details and depth, mirroring the complexity of overgrown hedgerows and sun-drenched borders. The result is a body of work that feels both vibrant and tranquil.
