I am a self taught artist who loves to experiment with colour, texture, pattern and shapes. I work in watercolour and acrylic and love to add gold or silver highlights. My work could be described as abstracted nature. I love strong vibrant colours but do occasionally work with subtle colours. My work can be seen on Facebook and Instagram under Irene Hirons Art. I spent my working life teaching middle school children and was an art, music and maths coordinator. During this time I had very little time to be creative for myself, as my time was spent thinking how to create eye catching displays of children’s work. I retired early and moved to Sidmouth where I can now follow all my creative dreams.
I am a member of Sidmouth Art Society and also the Happy Painting Guild ( HPG )
