I'm a potter with a long background in making, working from my studio in Dartmouth to produce handthrown functional porcelain pots. Over the years my practice has settled into something I'd describe as traditional forms with a modern sensibility — pieces that feel familiar and comfortable in the hand, but with a freshness in their shape and glaze that makes them distinctly contemporary.
I work in porcelain, a material I keep returning to for its refinement and quiet beauty. Every piece is thrown on the wheel, made to be used daily and built to last — all my work is dishwasher-safe, because I believe good pots should earn their place in a real kitchen, not sit behind glass.
Dartmouth is a constant source of inspiration. The name Daymark comes from the striking navigational tower on the headland above the town.
Whilst I don't currently offer workshops, it's something I'm open to exploring. In the meantime, you can browse and buy my work directly at daymarkpottery.com.
