I am a semi abstract acrylic painter and print-maker based in East Devon. The colours and textures I use are those that I see around me as I sit and paint on the foreshore of the river Exe or wander across Dartmoor. The big skies and the light on the water and tors are ever changing and this is my inspiration.
My art is intrinsically linked to the natural world. As I swim and walk, I embrace the nature around me and the birds in flight above. When painting, I try to recreate the sense of peace I feel when in nature. This relationship between art and well-being interests me greatly so I love to run both lino printing and painting workshops in the Seaglass Gallery in Lympstone.
