Beespoke of Devon Bio

Hello, I’m Joanne – a jeweller based on the edge of Dartmoor in Devon. I create handcrafted silver jewellery that combines traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques.
Over the past three years I’ve been exploring and refining my skills in silverwork, working with methods such as filigree, casting, and keum-boo (the ancient art of fusing 24k gold foil onto silver). My filigree pieces are intricate, usually one-of-a-kind creations, whilst my replicated cast silver jewellery is more minimalist, to allow the design to speak for itself.
I make all my pieces from recycled silver, often melting down scrap to give new life to the material. I work with Argentium, Sterling, and Fine silver – each with its own qualities. Argentium is a higher grade of silver than sterling, has hypoallergenic properties and is more tarnish resistant.
My inspiration comes from the world around me – my garden, the rugged moors, and the Devon coastline. Recently, I’ve begun experimenting with 3D designing and printing (using my husband's printer)! I enjoy creating a master model for silver casting with the continued focus of producing unique jewellery.
Every piece I make is intended to be worn and loved – whether as everyday jewellery, a special gift, or to celebrate life’s milestones: weddings, anniversaries, birthdays etc.
I’m always learning, experimenting, and finding new ways to bring silver to life.
