EXETER other, painting, printmaking, textiles ExeterI am a Finnish artist living in Devon. My background is in weaving and design, but painting and printmaking have become my main artforms. Out of these creations, arise my colourful and elegant homeware designs, including cushions, trays, tea towels and napkins.
I also enjoy drawing but I paint directly out of colour so no prior drawing is needed. As a passionate horticulturist, plants, hills and water are my main subjects in painting. William Turner, Claude Monet, Elin Danielson-Gambogi, Pekka Halonen and Albert Edelfelt are just some of the artists who inspire me. I will be running workshops later this year.
