I am a freelance illustrator and author.
Much of my work is informed by observations of the natural world, in its raw and unspoilt form.
I paint predominantly in egg tempera, an ancient forerunner to oil painting. This medium lends my painting a deep lustre and gloss that in turn brings the imagery almost back to its living state once more.
I've recently begun to explore porcelain as a way of bringing a tactile, three dimensional aspect to my work.
