‘A flower fractures, sets free precious seeds. Each holds a new beginning.’
For me, the dandelion, unfairly maligned yet also loved by many, symbolises both life and
death: death that is the catalyst for new beginnings. The dandelion clock must disintegrate
so its seeds may fall to earth and new life spring up. This cycle, repeated throughout nature,
is contained within finite time yet points to a hope beyond it and our deepest longings.
