From the Edinburgh Fringe to the English Riviera: “The Artists’ Pool” Come to Take a Dip with Artizan Collective

London based collective The Artists’ Pool have a ten-year pedigree of engaged and collaborative creative delivery focused on embracing the healing power of art, and this October, they’ll be sharing it with us on the English Riviera.

Established with the intention of embracing the power of art to bring people together and support their creativity, the team at The Artists’ Pool believe in art’s ability to heal and communicate across social and cultural boundaries, and they use their exhibitions and workshops to promote creativity and well-being in communities, encouraging other organisations and charities to bring art into their environments. Previous collaborations have included running workshops with the Woman’s Trust and Crisis Skylight London, nurturing creativity and raising awareness for vulnerable members of society, and a charity art auction raising over funds for CALM and Maggie’s Edinburgh.

“We’re pleased to be touring The Artists’ Pool’s recent successful Edinburgh Fringe exhibition ‘The Human Experience’ to the gallery, a show that promises to offer a window into the very essence of our existence, art that explores and captures the emotional value of the evolving human spirit.”

Led by artist Renee Rilexie, who specialises in sensory explorations, the collective is a regular at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and numbers twenty-five artists, chiefly from London and Edinburgh but also across continental Europe. So far, the group have worked with artists from all genres, to help develop their creative goals, from supporting and promoting young artists in the Unbound exhibitions to facilitating the development of professional creatives with open submissions and international opportunities. Each team member brings their unique personality and skill set to the pool – a mixture of cultures and experiences with a harmonious goal – to promote the positivity, connectivity and healing power of art.

The Human Experience II is hosted at Artizan Collective Gallery, Fleet Walk, Torquay, from 6th October – 3rd November with an artist evening and exhibition launch on 5th October, 18:00-20:00. For more information visit www.art-hub.co.uk/ex/tap24
