In celebration of Devon Artist Network’s milestone 21st anniversary, we are delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity for early-career artists (or those returning after a break) to showcase their work in the heart of Honiton during Devon Open Studios 2025.
In collaboration with Devon Artist Network, Thelma Hulbert Gallery (THG) and The Beehive Centre are looking for 5 talented artists to exhibit in this exciting new artist hub.
Here’s the breakdown:
- Upstairs Gallery, Thelma Hulbert Gallery, 06 – 20 September: We are selecting 3 artists to exhibit their artwork in the Upstairs Gallery.*
- The Beehive Centre, 08 – 20 September: We are looking for 2 artists to showcase their artwork in the Beehive Centre.*
Benefits include:
- 50% reduction of the participation fee* for Devon Open Studios**
- No room charge. 40% commission on sales going to THG.
* Dates and times subject to the gallery and venue opening times.
** The standard participation fee for an individual artist taking part in Devon Open Studios is £170. As part of this special partnership offer the fee is £85 per person.
How to Apply:
Send us a short outline description of your creative practice, what you would like to exhibit, and share why you consider yourself an emerging artist, along with up to five images of your pieces by 30th March to [email protected]
Explanation of the term Emerging Artist?
The term Emerging Artist represents artists who are in the process of establishing their identity and presence in the art sector, often seeking opportunities to showcase their work and connect with broader audiences. This could be someone who is in the early stages of their artistic career, and may include being up to seven years post-graduation, returning after a career break, starting a new project, or exploring a different approach to your work, including experimenting with new styles or mediums.
Selection Process:
Open to all Devon Artist Network members. Artists will be chosen by a panel from Thelma Hulbert Gallery and Devon Artist Network. Successful applicants will be notified by 10th April.
This is a great opportunity to gain exposure and connect with a wider audience.
