ABOUT MY WORK – What Makes It Unique
I create hand-painted illustrative artwork and patterns under my brand, The Illustrarium, from my home in rural Devon.
Every piece begins as a pencil drawing, then I hand-paint each design using traditional media like watercolour and gouache before refining and preparing it for print.
My work blends nature, folk art, decorative history, and storytelling, combined with a love of colour. Drawing on influences from the Regency Period, Victorian naturalists, medieval manuscripts, and English heritage craft. I am passionate about the environment and use eco-conscious materials wherever possible, including FSC-certified and recycled papers and sustainable packaging.
My aim is to create artwork that feels uplifting, nostalgic, and full of beauty – pieces that bring a little magic and joy into everyday life, whether framed on a wall or used in the home.
