Vivienne’s artwork is wonderfully diverse, ranging from intricate pen and ink portraits, to large, abstract acrylic canvases. Her paintings have a calm, often ethereal, non literal quality. The intention is to convey an atmosphere that brings a sense of peace and tranquility, an escape from the everyday. The harmonies between sky and water and the intense power contained within are what the artist is drawn towards. Vivienne uses acrylics, inks and watercolours, often utilising the effects of iridescent and metallic mediums to create light and depth that varies when viewed from different angles. For this reason, the paintings need to be seen in person to be appreciated in full.
