Unearthing Dartmoor – an exciting exhibition of artwork and poetry

This exhibition represents a large and varied body of poetry, artwork, prints and photographs chronicling and reflecting different dimensions of Dartmoor. It represents two years of collaborative work between poets from the local group, Moor Poets, working together with members of the local artist’s group, Contemporary Markmakers, while visiting many different sites on Dartmoor.

This treasure trove of poetry and art will be on public exhibition between Saturday 1 July and 29 September at the Dartmoor National Park Authority’s Visitor Centre in Princetown. Entrance is free and the exhibition offers enjoyment and inspiration to Dartmoor’s locals and its many visitors.

A more permanent record of the project is a high quality 120 page colour illustrated book of the poetry and artwork, called Unearthing Dartmoor. This will be on sale for £15 at the exhibition. We are very grateful to the Duchy of Cornwall and Moor Poets for supporting the project with grants, and for the DNPA’s support by providing the exhibition.
