Artist statement
My paintings reflect my surroundings and spirituality. I use paint as a form of documentation of the healing power of nature. To achieve this I explore patterns and shapes that are seen in environments I feel connected to, through the style of Automatism. I also enjoy creating surrealist scenes based on art therapy concepts and Carl Jung theories.

My paintings reflect my surroundings and spirituality. I use paint as a form of documentation of the healing power of nature. To achieve this I explore patterns and shapes that are seen in environments I feel connected to, through the style of Automatism. I aim to encapsulate the beauty of natures designs, with awareness of how these natural patterns we see, are always repeated and quite often so in our own anatomy. I also enjoy creating surrealist scenes based on art therapy concepts and Carl Jung theories. Art is a meditation practice for me and I wish to share its healing qualities. My work is mostly oil and acrylic on canvas with an occasional appearance of embroidery.
