Artist statement
This work is a move away from painting. It explores the importance of 'the image' to my own practice,and to the cathartic nature of the subject to my well-being.this exhibition is an experimental array of pencil,charcoal and pastel on paper, exploring the medium within the confines of dark evenings and candlelight.
