Artist statement
See work by 2 artists inspired by the raw materials of nature.Sam works with native hard woods and Steve works with rocks. Sam collects hard woods that he turns into fine crafted furniture. Steve transforms rocks into coloured pigments and uses them to make art works inspired by the places they come from. Both artists accept commissions.

Sam Studied Fine Art at Falmouth and Newcastle where he worked with sculpture and installation before starting his business making furniture.
Steve taught Fine Art at Exeter College of Art/Plymouth University from 1980 to 2006, and now concentrates on his own art practice.
