Artist statement
A group of three artists who are living and working on the edge moor. Abigail North hand crafts vessels from Devon wild clays, Cornish stoneware and occasionally porcelain, incorporating the use of local materials.
Melanie Prance, no fixed style, no fixed medium, I just enjoy myself.
Steve Allwood creates stoneware horsehair Raku inspired by the moor.
Extended Bio
This is the first year of working as a collective of artist/makers inspired by the moor. On display will be innovative mixed media paintings, sculpture and ceramics. There will be the opportunity to see demonstrations of some of the techniques that we use, including raku firing at the weekends.
