Job Overview: Devon Artist Network is seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Assistant to help enhance our social media presence, raise the profile of Devon Open Studios and encourage participation in the event.
The ideal candidate is knowledgeable and passionate about the arts, possesses excellent communication skills, and has a strong understanding of social media platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Social Media Management:
- Maintain and update DAN’s social media profiles, ensuring consistency in branding and messaging.
- Monitor social media trends and implement strategies to increase follower engagement and reach.
- Engagement:
- Nurture connections with our audiences by promptly responding to comments, messages, and mentions.
- Identify and engage with relevant communities, organisations and influencers to expand DAN’s social media presence.
- Campaign Coordination:
- Work with the PR manager to plan and implement a social media campaign to promote Devon Open Studios.
- Track and analyse campaign performance metrics, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
- Content Creation:
- Work closely with DAN’s PR Manager to develop engaging content and stories for social media promotion.
- During Devon Open Studios, share behind-the-scenes content and artist spotlights
Experience
- Proven experience in social media management, preferably in the arts.
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms and emerging trends.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to generate creative, engaging content.
- Familiarity with social media analytics tools.
- Basic graphic design skills and proficiency in content creation tools.
- Highly organised and able to meet deadlines.
Contract
The contract will run from June to Sept 2024, and may be extended if the model proves successful.
This is a freelance post paid at an hourly rate of £15. The total value of the contract is £1500. The post holder shall be responsible for their own taxes and National Insurance contributions.
