The coast and countryside where Trish now lives with her husband, along with those memories of colour and sound from having lived abroad all play an important part in how she uses colour. Her paintings which tend to evolve and emerge from the canvass in a semi abstracted way are born about by her feelings and reaction to a place and are therefore not representational. She enjoys getting outdoors to sketch and when in the studio paints in Acrylic or Oil. Trish also enjoys attending locally run life drawing workshops where she tends to use charcoal and pastel which she finds gives her more freedom.
