Sophie Coleman is a watercolour artist whose work is a celebration of everything she loves about the sea and coastal living.
She finds living near the Exe Estuary a huge source of inspiration, both above and below the water, as well as the flora and fauna of the area. As a complete contrast the marine life of warmer waters also informs her work.
She usually starts off a piece traditionally, with sketches and watercolour and then adds other elements with different media such as coloured pencils, gouache, collage and digitally.
Her designs can currently be found on cards, prints, wallpaper and fabrics. She is always open to collaborations and commissions.
