I’m a Devon-based craft maker and carpenter working under the name SKWONK, creating functional homeware and small furniture that sit between everyday object and art piece. My work combines traditional woodworking with Japanese Yosegi marquetry techniques, using reclaimed materials such as recycled skateboards, birch ply offcuts and locally sourced timber. Colour, pattern and precision sit at the heart of my practice, blending skate culture, Japanese craftsmanship and contemporary design into enduring objects made to be used and lived with.
