Teignmouth ceramics, gallery, jewellery, mosaic TeignbridgeMichelle is a full time professional artist based in Teignmouth, specialising in ceramic mosaic. She is conversant with traditional mosaic techniques and materials, but prefers to make her own individual pieces using a wide variety of clays & glazes. She has spent many years developing her own unique and recognisable style, principally inspired by the natural environment and the wild creatures that live there.
Recently Michelle has been exhibiting more abstract artwork, focusing entirely on colour and texture. She has completed numerous public art commissions, winning the RHS Art in the Landscape Award in 2022 for the Shaldon Botanical Gardens mosaic seat. Michelle has recently undertaken a ten-day Artist Residency at Rhydoldog House in mid-Wales.
