I'm deeply interested in the choices we make as people and how this is effected and reflected in the world. Landscape painting is a form of interpretation that I am at present linking to physical action. Forthcoming work focuses on linking the experience of walking a long coastal path (630 miles) with personal responses that are also affected by external factors such as news and social media. The action of walking is visceral and experiential, the action of reflecting on those events and setting them to canvas in some form is another path that unfolds, like the landscape, in the doing. I am currently experimenting with how to represent this interplay in a way that may be engaging for others.
