Marion Adams has lived in south Devon for most of her life. She currently works with a variety of media, including acrylic, gouache, ink and pencil. Her main focus is abstract painting and collage. She draws inspiration from coast and field, woodland and moorland – landscapes of shifting light, colour, texture and sound that evoke or even demand a deep emotional response. While being grounded in the natural elements of her surroundings, Marion’s art focuses on the interplay between clarity and ambiguity, memory and imagination, and longing and belonging.
Marion's work has been exhibited by Artizan Gallery (English Riviera Winter Open 2020, Small Works Exhibition 2021, English Riviera Summer Open 2021, English Riviera Winter Open 2021), London-based gallery The Holy Art (virtual exhibition: The Metamorphosis) and online gallery Fragile Express.
