Feniton, Honiton drawing, mixed media, painting East DevonI'm a midlife convert to a creative vocation. Painting and drawing have always been in the background, but now all consuming! I'm inspired by what I see around me, and I'm lucky enough to live close to the sea and the moors, and have the countryside on my doorstep. I'm also inspired by other people's pets! I don't specialise in a particular medium, though recently I've found myself lost in the world of pastels, loving the intensity of the pigment and the direct application of it with my fingers onto paper. I'm also exploring mixed media combining watercolour, ink and pastel, and using the landscape as a starting point for more abstraction.
