Ken Bracher
I am a stained-glass artist and illustrator, working from my garden studio in Chulmleigh, Devon. Formerly an architect and interior designer, colour, shapes, silhouettes, patterns and architectural details still excite and fuel my enthusiasm.
I create traditional leaded stained-glass windows and plaques – using traditional or contemporary themes (painted or unpainted). I also create decorative glass artwork in both Leaded glass and Tiffany. Many of my projects are undertaken as private commissions. I also regularly add to my studio collection of stained glass which is available for sale to visitors.
Also an illustrator, I like to create stained-glass ‘paintings’ – adopting traditional methods that have not changed for hundreds of years – yet adding a unique and contemporary design style. Every stained-glass item is made and painted by hand … and my illustrations ensure that every piece of stained-glass is truly unique.
