Jurgi Moor is an abstract expressionism artist.
Born in Vilnius in 1984.
She is currently working from her studio in Devon, on the edge of Exmoor, United Kingdom.
Often painting not what she seen but what she felt would best describe her work.
Her artwork is very expressive and full of energy. With sweeping and gestural brushstrokes and very emotive jags of lines combined with textural mark making.
Expression of feelings, showing the raw emotion on paper and canvas and combining different mediums to try and express that energy in best way she can often results in artwork that is alive and evocative.
Often working in groups with one after another paintings in quick succession and playing with composition.
Her inspiration comes from any intresting rugged aesthetics found in nature. Rocks by the sea, tall grasses by lakes, rugged and windswept nature on Dartmoor and Exmoor as well as well as her childhood memories from her homeland and nature there.
