I hand make sterling silver jewellery using traditional methods, the designs of which are inspired by the way the sea moves and the different colours reflected on the surface. Most of my pieces are textured with hammers or burrs and have circular or other geometric elements. Some designs include semi precious beads, gemstones or freshwater pearls.
Wave watching is my therapy and hours can be lost just watching how the water moves and working out how to interpret that into a piece of jewellery. More recent designs have been inspired by the tideline, the way the waves break or gently lap and by the treasure the sea leaves behind on the beach for us to find.
I sell my work on Etsy via my website, at occasional craft fairs and in several shops/galleries in the Southwest.
