Bio

Brought up by a potter I have always worked in clay, and up until recently always in stoneware sculpture, graduating from Falmouth College of Arts in 2002. I call my work 'Ceramic Illustration'. I am inspired by Story, Myth, Folklore, Nature and Music making, being a fiddle player myself.
I have always been ensconsed in family life, bringing up kids and working on our small farm with sheep, cows, and veg growing. However the kids are older now!
Over the last couple of years I have discovered a passion for throwing pots on my leach treadle wheel. I am working in Earthernware, using traditional North Devon methods to decorate in sgraffito and slip trailing. I am still illustrating, drawing all over my pots.
I do teach in my studio a little, and at 'Dartmoor Makers' in Chagford on a Monday.
