I have always loved to draw and paint but my career took me in a different direction and I graduated from Canterbury College of Art in 1982 as an architect. Painting is now a priority and I no longer practice architecture. I live on the coast, sail boats, walk cliffs and the moors where I draw and photograph my subjects. These references are developed back in my studio where I create colour compositions in oil paint and try to create something of the memory, experience, action, mood, and season in the final painting.
