I am a multi-disciplinary artist who explores and experiments with a wide range of materials and processes. This enables me to explore emotions in different ways – the variety of media helps me connect with past experiences and reframe them. It is cathartic and intuitive, as I go on a voyage of self-discovery through the reconciliation of the conscious and the unconscious.
Throughout my creative practice, I use feelings that have resurfaced from memories to bring about change by examining relationships from my perspective as a woman and the roles we play throughout life.
There is a gap between the initial intention and result, which becomes a transformative space in which I let go of my expectations and allow myself to express what wants to be expressed. It’s like seedlings emerging, but I don’t know whether they will survive or fully come into being. Therefore, there is a precarity about my artworks, like life.
