I developed a deep connection to natural landscapes - one that continues to shape my painting practice. Now based in Devon, I am drawn to the wild beauty of Dartmoor and the life force of the River Dart.
Water is a recurring thread running through my work, a symbol of vitality, reflection and transience. Through the elusive and shifting qualities of watercolour, I explore how particular landscapes evoke a sense of presence and connection. I seek to convey that fleeting moment when a place feels both familiar and liminal, suspended between reality and imagination. My approach is intuitive and spontaneous, always aiming to invite the viewer into that space of contemplation and belonging.
