I am Bethan, and I have a pottery studio on a rural organic farm in East Devon, UK. After graduating with a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Ceramics, I moved to Devon and worked alongside a studio potter, honing my skills to produce wheel-thrown tableware and I love that people use my handmade pottery everyday. It is thrown on a potters wheel in stoneware clay and fired in an electric kiln.
My passion for making and the beauty of nature drew me to clay - one of the most earthy materials I could get my hands on! Using a potter's wheel, I create clean and simple functional ceramics for everyday use, with a timeless aesthetic. My work is inspired by the world around me, resulting in a blend of quiet, earthy tones and vibrant, energetic glazes that speak to the individual tastes of each user.
By using considered design and traditional making processes I inspire to keep quality crafts alive and relevant today.
